The nominees are selected based on proposals submitted by the association’s member publishers, while the winners are chosen by invited expert juries.

The winners of the Finnish Music Publishers Awards 2026 will be announced at the gala ceremony on September 10, 2026 at the White Hall in Helsinki.

Wise Music Classical covered the world premiere of Klami’s Violin Concerto in a news article published on April 13, 2026

Written for violinist Maria Puusaari, the concerto is a deeply personal requiem for an unborn life. Across three movements, De profundis, Alcheringa, and Ad lucem, Klami traces an emotional journey from anger and frustration, through a dreamlike and fragile state where hope briefly emerges to a final striving towards light.

Blending the intensity of a concerto with the reflective character of a requiem, the work unfolds as both an intimate and universal meditation on loss, longing, and resilience.
